you limp in with about 3 others and one guy raises 10 (blinds are 1 and 2 at a home game) your pretty sure hes trying to steal the pot hes been doing it all night....anyways how much should you reraise him to force him to fold his hand if the other limpers folded after his raise.....how much would you raise (or should you?) if the other limpers call him?

Are you that sure he is just trying to steal? If he makes the play frequently, he could easily have a good hand and make the play hoping for someone to play back at him. And knowing he will make the play, why were you limping? Or maybe you had a good hand and wanted him to make that move?

You didn't mention what you had or what position he was in relative to you; that is, will he bet before you after flop? Assuming you had a decent (but not overwhelming) hand, just calling him might be enough to get him to slow down. If he checks on flop, you might bet then.

Of course, this is for just those situations when everyone else folds. If you get other callers, you really need to rethink why you should be in the pot.

Good advice from Chris there, if you have the chips, call him and wait for the flop. If he starts looking nervous, a low bet or a check then raise, you wanna push this guy if he is bluffing and see how far he will go.

The advantage is, you will see the flop, be able to assess your hand and if he's raising big you still have time to get out before you're committed to the pot.

Good call, he would seem to be trying to get a steal on the pot, though you want to be careful and check that you have something to go head to head with before making any big chip commitments to the pot.

I might call if I can afford it, though a raise would be a little foolish as you don't have any real indication to what he's got. He could be bluffing or he could have a big hand isn't really narrowing it down much.
