here's the story. Lately I have been multitabling (4 tables at once) which is the maximum Pokerroom allows but that's good for me because I don't think I could keep up with much more than that. I have done fair enuf but the thing I noticed was what happened today.
I sit at all 4 tables with $15 on each. This is .25/.50 limit by the way. Anyway on one table I have doubled my buy-in and am over $29. On another i am at $15 and change so about even. On another I am down to about $8 and the other down to about $10 or $11. It seems to work this way a lot. I do great on one sometimes 2 tables but the other 2 i'm losing on which brings down the total profit for the session so to you experienced multitablers out there I have a few questions.
1. Do you stay at the same tables figuring the cards will change?
2. Should I bail out of a table after losing a certain amount and bring up a new one.
3. if the answer to question 2 is yes at what point do you leave that table and try your luck with a new one. After you're 10 big bets down? 15?? 5???
I always like to have 4 tables going so exiting one and bringing up a new fourth table is no big deal. Todays session was a profit of $2 but I was ahead about $14 or $15 on one of them so considering that it was a pretty lousy performance.
This seems to be a recurring occurance. And to head of some possible questions I am playing the same way on each of them. Not tilting to try to win it back. And even on the losing tables am playing some of the most disciplined poker of my life. Oh and one more thing as far as the % seeing the flops I play tabvles under 60% but one day the table I do well at is the 57% table and the next could be the 45% table so there seems to be no pattern in that area. Now the fact is I am +270 big bets since the 2/4/05 and I think that's pretty good but if I can put a lid on this one table great, the other one bad, the next one even, and the next one a slight loss, I think I can improve that even more which will get me to my next level that much quicker. Thanks for any input.

Duck out on the tables taht are failing on you around 5-10 BB down. I know that the cards may be equally lousy on another table, they might improve where you are, but you've got to get out before the tilt sets in and you start worrying about losing on certain tables.

If you have to, I would even try dropping a couple of tables if you are winning on 2, losing on 2 - maximise your profit where you think you can and let any tables which are letting you down go.
