Active & Independent Education Limited (A&I) is an affiliated company of CityU Enterprises Limited established in 2006, with a focus on the development and deployment of an International award winning web-based English learning system (WELS) for local schools.She aims to "Build a Harmonic, Enthusiastic and Positive Learning Community for Teaching and Learning in our local schools". iv) Professional Consultation Services for School-based IT-rich Curricular Design and Development in a series of continuous professional development programme.

Currently, A&I is collaborating with the AIMtech Centre (Centre for Innovative Application of Internet and Multimedia Technologies) of City University of Hong Kong on the Collaborative Blended Learning Curriculum Design and Development Programme funded by the Quality Education Fund. Over 160 Chinese Language and English Language teachers in primary and secondary schools are being trained and is going to equip the essential E-pedagogical competencies to promote life-long learning as well as whole person development.
