Could anyone tell me where I can read more about tells? Or someone here might know a few regular tells and what they mean? I have just started playing poker, and would apreciate your help.

Tells are per individuals. Most people have something they do when they are bluffing or when they have a good hand. You must watch them, especially when not in a hand to find out for sure. They are hard to find. I have found 1 for sure on one of my friends and I believe I just found another. But they are completely different and most will be. It is actually much easier to learn your opponents style of play and use that as a tell against him.

If you're playing limit poker, looking for tells is not going to help you win. You're better served by studying your opponents' betting patterns and hand selection.

That's why you should keep a notebook as you play. Make a note of style - raise frequency, average raise amount, the kind of cards they will take to the showdown and so forth. Although it takes a while to get used to taking note of this kind of stuff, once you do you can start to be more sure of whether the guy is confident in their hand or not based on their raises or calls.
