I've folded having been the BB and called round the table. Doh.

I've also put $100 in a pot and showed a high King, that was a little embarrassing too. Then again, that taught me a thing or two about playing the game. Didn't do it again.

Probably the same as Blue, I folded having posted the BB and calls round the table before!

I've quite often gotten overexcited, misread a card on the flop or something, proudly turned over my cards after the river before realising I've got nothing and look a bit of a tit.

Nothing hugely bad from a monetary point of view, but I didn't half look an idiot.

Hehe, nothing worse is there. Whats worse is when you raise big, and realise before you show your cards - the look on the face must be a camera moment!

Too true! I think we've all folded when it was free to continue, that's a fairly common error. People see crap cards and throw em forgetting they've just posted a BB and been called round the table!

There is also the problems associated with counting chips. Some people have a real hard time early on getting to grips with standard raises and so forth and throw all sorts into the pot not really knowing how much. Pisses the dealers off anyway.

Just as well Gizmo, that's a common mistake when people start out playing. They don't know the odds of their cards coming up, but play on hoping - this can lead to some very embarrassing situations so thankfully don't often last long!
